According to Stan Porter "Tunnel Springs was the original source for water for the City of North Salt Lake. Although a very small percentage of the the water used today, the spring is still piped into the cities water system. The spring located at the park." I have no idea where the spring is located in the park though.

Don't quote me on this, but if you hike up the trail on the south side of the park and get to the bottom of the steep hill that leads to the radio towers there is a stone u shaped path that i think is an aqueduct. I think that's one way water was brought down from the mountain. Again, purely a guess. I'm not an expert on this kind of thing
