Nashyia, you have to be sixteen years old to work in the kitchen and handle kitchen equipment. We have employed a few at fifteen over the years to work in the front, serving ice cream, delivering food to tables, etc. At fifteen, you must have a work permit and the state limits the time that you can work. I believe that you can work a maximum of ten hours per week and during the school year you cannot work past 7:00 p.m. We can mostly use people under sixteen during the summer.
