I don't know where you parked. Sometimes you can find meters on the street. Those are $2.00/ hour. Now even home owners need a parking pass to park on the street. Pass is $1500.00/ year. Too many new builds with out requiring the builder to put in parking. Always a good idea to Uber to the Short North
If you park in the market parking lot make sure to have your ticket validated when you make a purchase. If you parked at one of the parking garages you may have been charged for event parking. The event parking fee happens when there is an event at the convention center.
