Do you provide actual urgent or emergent health care for people, or just transport services (ambulance, paramedics) from an incident to a hospital?

We provide emergent care to the citizens and visitors of the city of New Orleans. This covers both emergent and non-emergent care and transport. The type of care rendered is dependent upon evaluation of the patient and their immediate needs. Anyone who is unable or unwilling to transport themselves to the emergency room can utilize emergency services.

It is EMS, meaning paramedics and EMTs. You can't summon them except via 911 and they can evaluate and transport with stabilization or even heroic life saving measures, but not prescribe new at-home drugs, etc. If you need urgent but not emergent care, or primary care, this isn't what you're looking for. If you need to establish primary care and are concerned about cost, I'd say consider DePaul, Crescent Care, the musician's clinic, or the clinics at UMC. But this isn't an exhaustive list and I'm sure there are other good sources, too. If you have insurance, check their website for doctors on their in-network list. If you need emergency services, 911 or go to an ER!
