There is an ocean beach at SMITH'S POINT that you can get to by car It is a County beach parking is approximately $15 allso to the west is the federal park beach .there are no pets permitted at either beach.

You can drive to Robert Moses State Park. There's a few miles of beautiful beaches and you can walk to the lighthouse and beyond. That's the only place there are cars on the island

There is a bridge that takes you to paid parking. If there is a dog friendly area, my guess would be far east or west directly across from the parking area.
