There is a big fountain for kids to play in, changing rooms, bathrooms, wifi, chairs, umbrellas, and a huge beach.
They also have a very small playground inside the plaza where kids play. You can watch them play while sitting on a bench. It is very small though but kids love it.
This is a beach park so where ever you can find a spot on the beach; bring or rent chairs if you want. They do have life guards but it gets crowded. The key to this location is that it has great access to the beach with showers, changing rooms and close to shops and restaurants if you need a break from the beach.
You'll park a few blocks away and walk to the beach, which is a vast open area. Where we were at, there was just beach and ocean. No secluded area for kids to play like your typical park, but there were chairs available to sit in, but we were too busy playing too to sit. 😁

You can watch them in the fountain but you can't see the beach from the sitting area. It is however very, very nice.
I agree with the other reviewers. It's a lovely public beach park. The goal being the beach. What the town has done to spruce up this area as a gateway to our beautiful beaches is wonderful.
There is a fountain, swing benches, rocking chairs, and all that was said above. There are a lot of shops and eateries too. Park the car and there is so much in walking distance
