Why is it called the "Boll Weevil" cafe? I'm familiar with the bug and its eradication plan. But i don't understand how it relates to the establishment.

It is a play on names. Being located in a historically cotton industry area, restaurants, and other budinesses, incorporated cotton into their names. To break away and stand out, TBWC chose it's name after a cotton-eating pest. Ingenious idea when name was chosen.

It is very near Augusta's old cotton exchange (which is the site of a bank now). It is homage to downtown Augusta's historical roots of the cotton exchange on the river.
