We are picking our son up from basic training (Columbia) and bringing him and a fello soldier who’s family isn’t able to travel, to dinner at Hall’s to celebrate. None of us will have business casual attire. Should we keep our reservations?

The attire is mixed at the restaurant. There were plenty of people wearing shorts with sports polos.

Your young soldiers will absolutely love the food. Best steak I have had in the nation, including NYC, Chicago, and Dallas.

Casual attire is fine, however do make reservations to have a table ready when you get there. Place seems to be popularly busy.

I went in a casual sundress and my husband was in khaki shorts and a collared short sleeve shirt and I did notice we were a little underdressed compared to others around us. You should be ok though. I will say it is very expensive and if you were not planning on treating the other soldier to dinner it could very well be out of his price range. Just something to consider.
