They will accept dressy bluejeans and above Agree business casual is more the standard.
Charleston is a tourist town and they understand that. During the season they generally tend to be pretty laid back because they understand that a lot of tourists don't pack that kind of attire, and some are literally just off the boat for a few hours.
Not super formal, nice polo and slacks for men. Nice dress or fancy top and slacks for ladies.
I would dress to impress, nothing less than business casual.
