I am considering getting a spider bite piercing, but I have some MRI's that may need to have done. Is there a non metal piercing alternative, like glass ok for a spider bite?

They do have plastic retainers that you can purchase to keep the holes open but I have not seen them use glass or plastic to do the initial piecing and usually they will tell you a new piercing takes several months to fully heal. If it were me I would wait until the MRIs are done to get a new piercing. I just went through the process of replacing my piercings with retainers for an MRI and it can be costly.
