I have an appointment with Safelite to replace my windshield and was told they can tape my crack until the appointment so water doesn't get in. Another agent said no, they don't do that. I don't want my inside to get wet! What do I do?

Taping the crack is not to stop water from getting in the car, it was to stop the water from getting between the layers. They can repair some cracks so long as they don't get water between the glass layers.
