So Sorry that you had to drive so far to find out we were closed. Unfortunately we did not have the option to change the date on the True Value flyer. While those chains that you mentioned will always make their employees work major holidays, we choose to always give our employees the day off to be with their families. We are also closed on Sundays.
They post their open times on website. Great people - if they don't have something, they'll find it for you.
I agree with you Dawn, confront them about this with a formal complaint and demand compensation. Saying it ends on the 28th DOES mean they are supposed to be OPEN!
Can you imagine being stupid enough to drive to a store without first checking to see what there hours are.
Nothing wrong w closing on Sundays n holidays, just stop advertising being open n having a sale when u know u are not. Also it's your sales flyer ,of course u have control over what it says or u would not advertise your business w it.
It's a federal holiday. It's expected to be closed.
