My husband is almost totally def. He continues to tell me "there are no new developments in hearing aids" I tried to reason with him, but he refuses to go anywhere but the VA. How can I convince him to come to Davis? I listen to you on radio.

Hi Joy... I’m sorry for the delayed response. It is hard when someone has been disappointed so many times. They believe nothing will work. There are so many advancements every day. The best thing to do is to test his hearing and see what is most appropriate for him. If he already has hearing aids, we may be able to reprogram them for him. That may be the best way to get him in... let him know we can work with what he has first. He may even be a cochlear implant candidate. We will know once we test him. We truly just want to help, and we will just give him information to ponder during the first appointment.
