Yes there are many children there and the City of Daytona want the beach to be more family-friendly they are encouraging that There are many rides and there is an arcade with many games in it next to Lisa's gift shop close to the Hilton
very kid friendly they also have a splash fountain and easy access to the beach

It was just after hurricane when we went so boardwalk was nearly shut down. The restaurant on the pier was fantastic. And the fishing was very good. Go when it's warm. There are a lot of other sites in and around Daytona.
It's very kids friendly. There's a candy shop there your kids will love but it's quite expensive. Lots of shops. There is also a small fairway or some sort with rides. We were there 3 weeks ago and it was very cold.
Go when it's warmer out though
