After making a booking of paying later what proof do you hold for booking

Confirmation number is always best. Plus a phone call to confirm booking never hurts. We did our booking six months in advance with no problems.

Always take a phone pic or screen shot of your booking. They ask you for your email address and send you a confirmation. Check your spam email folder. Also, call the hotel directly and ask them if you have a reservation for the time you booked.
