How do you define "early"? I'd say you wouldn't have much trouble two hours beforehand, BUT getting out at the end of the game is going to take seemingly *forever*!!! If you're able-bodied and can walk a decent few or more blocks both ways. Your best bet (as long as there are no other huge events going on downtown), is to park on the outskirts of anywhere downtown that's closest to wherever your next destination will be after the game and hop on the light rail to get to and fro' the game. Fares in the downtown zone are only $0.50 one way. Go to metrotransit.org for more details. There are a lot of resources there! One other thought: If you live in the northwest suburbs, consider taking the Northstar train from a park and ride station directly to Target Field and back. More details can be found on the website. I would suggest parking a couple blocks away. Much easier!!
