from my experience, most of these scrap yard prices are so close to each others that it's not worth going here to sell copper and then there to sell iron. you lose out on time and travel. to get a better price, you'll have to watch the market or the prices as they change often and try to sell when the price is high. this also allow you to build a stockpile to make the trip even more worth it. but doing a search for current scrap prices will give you an idea of what your local scrap yard will give you. Decide then whether you want to sell then or another time. dont make it about who gives you 4 more cents than the next yard. my 2 cents
