(In most cases, the upper limit for eligibility is 125% of the federal poverty level.) - Low- and moderate-income older adults - Victims of domestic violence, regardless of income, to obtain a Protection from Abuse order and address other legal matters directly related to domestic violence WE ARE NOT ABLE TO HELP* - Undocumented immigrants (except for domestic violence cases and human trafficking cases) - Defendants in Protection from Abuse cases - In criminal cases - In civil cases that don’t meet our priority guidelines, such as personal injury, car accidents, traffic citations *Legal Aid makes every effort to refer individuals in these categories to other sources of legal assistance.
