I dont work there but best thing to do is put it back in the box and try returning it. Be real with them and tell them you don't know what happened to the receipt. They should know their own product and they may be able to replace it.
I don't work there either. However, I agree with Ruben Rivera. But it back in the box and take it to White's. Explain what happened. I know the people at Whitie's have always been fair to me. I'm sure something can be arranged to everyone's satisfaction. Good luck!
