My daughter’s car is registered in one county (where we live and bought the car for her). But she lives in a different county. Does she need to get the car inspected where it’s registered or can she get it inspected where she lives?

I got my inspected in Houston and registered in Carrollton with no problem. Taxes have to be paid in the county the car is in.

We most in north Texas are emission county’s. You can do an inspection with us and be valid throughout Texas for registration. If you lived here and got it done in South texas where it’s a safety only inspection then wouldn’t be valid here in Denton or Dallas county’s as an emissions inspection also has to be performed with the safety portion.
