He does take some insurance and initial consults are free. I've been going to him for years. He is very knowledgeable and will tell you if he can't help you. Call and ask about the fees.
I think it depends on what you need right? I do know this, he is very resasonable and by far my first pick. Even if this means taking on a commute.
If you have insurance my copay was $25 per visit. Not sure if it varies per insurer. He is really nice and thorough with his inital assessment.
