I will be flying for the fist time since covid. I will be flying from Syracuse to Virginia for 3 weeks then nack. Do I need to get a covid test before flying and if so how long prior to leaving?

Good afternoon Patti. The airport is not involved in the enforcement of New York State Department of Health restrictions other than providing the National Guard and Department of Health personnel space to operate in. Please direct all questions to the NYS Dept of Health (https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/covid-19-travel-advisory) or call them at 1-888-364-3065. Thank you and wishing you safe travels.

Wear your mask if anything else

I flew out for Christmas, didn't have to test...when you return, you fill out a form (contact information, flight information) and on the 4th day back you have to be tested...then if anyone tested positive the CDC will contact you.
