Prices are decent and it would go about the same with gift shops on their souvenir items.

I'd reccomend you shop wisely. It's a huge draw for tourists, so it can be pricey. But it's also always been a traditional place for locals to shop and eat. So I'd say, moderate to expensive. I don't mind paying a premium price for quality food, and there's plenty of that on offer. The Amish folks have a well earned reputation for their products, of which there's a wide variety. As to the other items offered there, that's up to what you are personally willing to pay.
Not at all! You can get any kind of food and different prices. Snacks, meals, fresh products, etc.
