No. I just made reservations for this month. If you want a special day, you have to plan early.
I always get in for weekend visits with a couple weeks planning. If you're refering to a time share purchase, not sure.
I just called and got right in. I believe they allow reservations up to a year in advance. We just spent 3 nights.

I believe it is 6 months in advance at 8 am. If you know the month you want to go they will tell you when to need to call.
Always good to call in advance but i have called on a Thursday and check for cancellations.
