It is the oldest continuously inhabited street in English-speaking North America. Interesting to see and hear the history but it is basically a block of old houses sandwiched between a freeway and commercial buildings. The area in general is nice to explore as there is lots of history, but dont go for just this.

From Wikipedia: Elfreth's Alley is a historic street in Philadelphia, dating to 1702. It is referred to as "our nation's oldest residential street".[2] As of 2012, there are 32 houses on the street, which were built between 1728 and 1836. The Elfreth's Alley Museum is located at #124 and 126.[2][3] The alley is a National Historic Landmark.
