They are kid and pet friendly but I would stay in a room up front off the water. I went Memorial Day weekend and brought my 10yr old. We loved it.
I would say ask for a room closer to the front and you should have a quiet stay. There is a restaurant towards the back on the water so if there is any noise it will be back there. When we stayed you couldn't hear anything at all up front. It's a great place book it!
I believe it will be kid friendly. We were there in early August and the place was silent after hours on week nights. The water and the dock are just the kind of things a child loves to explore, and the animal statues are fun to search for. The weekend crowd was louder, but overall the place was wonderful. Also, check out Jacob's Aquatic Center--it's just down the street and your child will love it!
The restaurant next door plays live music, but I believe it stops either 9 or 10 depending on if it's a weeknight or weekend. It wasn't loud to the point where it was distracting or annoying. And it's typically like acoustic Beach Music type stuff.
