There are several City Parks in Nebraska City and you may use a metal detector in the City Parks, but we don't want people damaging our City parks by digging up whatever they think they may have found with their metal detector. Also, the ballfields and yard of the Steinhart Aquatic Center would be off limits as they are irrigated with sprinkler systems, but the City Parks would be would be fine to use a metal detector as long as you're not digging up the turf. We can't speak for the State parks in Nebraska City as they are owned by the State of Nebraska and not by the City of Nebraska City. The J. Sterling Morton Mansion is a State Park and the Riverview Marina down along the Missouri River is also owned by the State of Nebraska and you would have to obtain permission from the State specifically for those two locations.
I'm not sure on actual answer for that but I would not think so, due to the fact of whatever you might find, you'd want to do & that's a no-no!
