Can you use your six flags season pass at any sick flags?

I have a regular season pass and once it's activated at the proper six flags location you can use it at any of their parks. It isn't, however, good for each location's water park, that depends on which one you're visiting.

I am under the impression that you have to activate your passes at the park you purchased from. After that season passes are good at all 6 flags. If you don't have a gold pass you have to pay to park.
