I think it is under 2000 or under 2500 pounds for the capacity of the trailer and I think that it includes the weight of the trailer itself, before you have to get a license on it. Just call the dmv and ask to make Shure. But even if they say the t needs a license you are probably never going to get pulled over unless it is some huge pay load and or is a huge trailer. A guy I know has had a big dump trailer for 15 years or so and never had a license plate on it and never been pulled over

I believe all trailers must be licensed to travel on public roads no matter the size. Sorry.
