My dog has developed a rash on his face so severely he can't open his eyes. Could this be because of my female dog (flirting) with him?

No. The common reasons for face/eye swelling in dogs is allergic reaction. He could have been bit or stung,it could be due to something on the carpeting, tile or even outside in the dirt & grass. He could have inhaled or eaten something. Or he could have an abscess forming from a cat or dog bite. If he has a bad tooth or teeth it will cause throat, mouth, jaw and even eye swelling. But if this something that just 'came about' and progressed to the point that you've taken notice my opinion is that he's having a *severe* allergic reaction to something do to the eyes swelling shut & it could be urgent. If he is reluctant to eat or drink and if he is the same way after 48 hours I would definitely take him to the vet, as it could be life threatening. Paws is FAR cheaper and will work with you if a typical vet is out of the question financially. . ** If you very recently changed his food, it could be something in the food, also.

No, I haven't changed anything in his diet. He still has his eager appetite and is drinking water the same. He has cherry eye. Is it possible he scratched one of his eyes and spread it to his paws?I've been bathing buddy's rash with his shampoo which contains oatmeal and it seems to help. But I'm going to take your advise and go to paws.
