My roommate had the same problem about 4 years ago with her dog and they worked with her on $25 mo payments THEN, I'm not sure if they still do. Also, there is something called Care Credit. It's insurance that covers the procedure in full to the vet and you pay them the monthly payments. My roommate discovered it 2 months ago. I thought it was just for animals, come to find out it's good for people, too. Anything from dental, optical, regular doctors appts, medicatins, etc. On their website you fill out a short application and it runs your credit. Depending on your credit score, it can either deny you or approva you for up to over $5,000. My roommate was approved for $800 with a credit score around 610. I was denied when my credit score was at 585. Here's their link: www.carecredit.com Dr. Murray was the worst vet Oroville had.
I dont think that Paws is very compasstionate, it they have to run your credit, wont set up payments for low or fixed incom individuals. Thats why pets end up at the pound, Its just too heartbreaking that Vets cant be more like the clinic in Denver! They see 20,000 patients and travel to other towns for ckinic days spay and neuters. Cal vets including retired Murray, all about the money. Period!
Go in there with your dog and explain your situation. They are amazing and if you have a debit or credit card you can probably set up payments. Although not sure if 20 a month will be a high enough payment.... Good luck to you and your fur baby.
