Hi! Are yall like EBTH and set everything at $1 and it sells for anything anyone is willing to bid for it? Or do you, once appraised, set the auction open for a reasonable first bid? Also, if a piece doesn't sell do you lay claim to the piece?

We use a different model than EBTH. We have specialists that catalogue each item and give estimates up front. We then have a starting bid for each item that is a percentage of the estimate. Most pieces sell, however, if a lot passes it is either re-offered in a future sale or returned to the consignor. Thank you for your inquiry.
