The best thing would be to contact a local rescue group or try to find someone to adopt him from you. The shelter should only be considered in extreme circumstances since too often people use the shelter and its valuable resources as nothing more than a dumping ground for pets they have simply lost interest in and/or realized that taking care of a pet requires commitment; - a quality that is unfortunately lacking in most.
When leaving an animal with this shelter, there is a fee paid by the person turning it over.

I think they are a caring establishment. If the p ui pins family friendly ...it might find a home. They will def... give it med care and food
