I'll defer to the good people from Aark for specific advice, but birds are not as delicate as they look. Many have special arterial structures through their bodies that help them keep warm. If you can provide a little food without startling them I'm sure they'd appreciate it.
I just found a baby Robin who must have fallen with it's best next to him. He fell out from the top of our pine tree from the rain storm we had last night. Not sure if it's dying from the fall & it's still alive but very weak ( it not chriping for it's upset parents near by watching. ). I couldn't get it back in the tree & I decided to but in a hedge ( not visible because I have Hawks circling around my yard ). Will the parents find their baby if it's to weak to chrip? Will my emergency vet center to him ?
You can always call the Aark for advice. They dont always answer right away, just keep trying. I agree, scatter a few seeds on the ground or deck and they will appreciate it and most likely be ok. Food helps keep them warm.
