Dorothy Allen, there are no dispersed camping areas. Uwharrie has quit a few nice camping areas, they're even some that has electricity, nice and clean showers and bathrooms. All the camping areas are great! But you have to make sure in advance if they're not full, and you have to pay at certain ones(like the one with the electricity, showers and bathrooms.) But they're are places if you want to do it old school by the lake with no electricity, showers or bathrooms, they have some really nice spots as well.
