Get permit. Thats it. Go for that first. Get ccw later. Easy as that. It really is easy. As long as you have all your background information. Fill out for the permit online not downtown. That way if you forget something you will be at home. Saves the hassle of lines and metal detectors. This of course is for mecklenburg county. But same process everywhere. MECKLENBURG is the only one that allows online permit process that I know of.
You should probably call them for detailed information. It will include a background check for sure. Check your state and local laws as well. You will have to be from NC otherwise it will need to be shipped to a licensed person or dealer.
