I went two days with my son and no guide and no bites. Go for the guide if you can. I think you'll enjoy it more actually catching some fish. I know that's what I'm doing next time.

Bass fishing is the goal. Tom Mann was our guide and in October put us onto the bass within minutes of anchoring. Dec to March is the prime fishing season. Unless you know the areas to fish, I'd hire a guide.
