Wear water shoes
In all, i recall hearing a number when i was there last week, I believe the staircase is between 30-50 steps. The rock steps are as described above and the wooden steps and platform are now gone. The wooden steps, the 2nd set of steps that bridge the rock steps to the water, have been with an all new, engineered aluminum staircase and platform. It is now a very nice setup.
Like a handful of "rock" steps that are all weird sizes and yes they are slippery. You would want to wear water shoes especially if you have lil one with you
Not steep per se but the rock ones can be a bit narrow and not all the same "size", so be careful, being stone can also be a bit slippery if wet, especially if you are carrying a lot of scuba gear. The wooden steps are "normal"
Wooden steps and rock steps probably about 150 all together
