Scuba divers need lights as they swim under the rock shelves and around lRge debris in the sink hole. Snorkling doesn't as there natural light in the center which is ipen to the sky and additional lighting around the periphery. The water is very clear so snorkling diving down 15 plus feet is fine without any lights.
No dive lights needed for snorkeling.
There are bars and signs to stop you around 50ish feet. You definitely need a light in some areas to see. Other areas are nice especially when the sun is shining bright. They sell lights in the office.
You need a light. I think it goes to about 55 feet.
I'm not sure exactly how deep but all the divers I saw had at least a flashlight or headlamp
