You should yes because if you were to call better business bureau they would try to shut them down. So yes you should be fine requesting it, just try to do it the same day when you notice it.

Thank you Chad, Michael & Sheryl I was moved to another.. I reported everything to the front desk clerk.. So they can get on making repairs ASAP.. I believe someone else was checked in that room.. I wasn't offered a discount or anthing else that was fine I just wanted someone to know that room needed repairs ASAP..
If I have a problem with the room I tell the front desk immediately. If they can't resolve the problem I go to the manager. It usually gets resolved at the front desk. If not then I tell them that I should be re-compinsated with something of equal value.
Possibly same stay depending on "par" or problem
If its not up to par you have to tell them immediately. So they can give you another one or your money back. None of them want to give you anything. Be sure to check the beds very good for bed bugs. Slmost all those places have them. Unless you go to the high dollar one. Then you still need to check
