I work at a local historic museum. We have a soda truck in our fire station. I can not find much information on it. Can anyone help? It is people driven, not horse. I would like to know what chemicals did they use and how did they use it?

The way I understand it, they used a sodium bicarbonate and sulfuric acid solution. I would assume the solution created enough pressure to act as a propellant. I don't fully understand how it works but I hope that helps.

If you call the museum and talk to the gentleman who runs the place I'm sure he will have an answer for you. He is very knowledgeable of the equipment from back in the day.
