If you go down Satterwhite Point road to lake Straight to dead end is ramp to drop boat. No pay Then anywhere else on lake is serveral ramps, but cost 7$ to enter gates do not lock. Only gate that locks is at 9 pm to swimming area at Satterwhite Point. All other gates don't lock. Usually after 7-8 pm depends on what time the booth close, it doesn't cost to get in. If you are a senior citizen it only cost $5 per day to pass And what some people don't know is once you pay to pass the booth. That pass is good that day for anywhere on Kerr Lake.going and coming all day. I just wanted to point this out because I have had people camping next to me that didn't know that they could go every where else on the lake. This rule applies to camping, swimming area, boaters, and visiting. So I hope this helps you in some way, Have Fun, enjoy the lake and be SAFE of all things.
I have stayed there many times the gate is usually left open during spring and summer and fall. There is a boat ramp but I think it for those who are camping due to the limited parking for boat trailers.
There is a public boat ramp and the park will close and lock the gate sonthere is not 24 hour access.
