I have a 3 year old female shih tzu that I can longer take she is becoming a hand full not behavioral but not using bathroom outside very active and hyper but I am expecting a child and there is no way I can keep her with a newborn what is protocol?

I'd say call the Meriden Humane Society I know they have the answer. I think if your dog is up to date on vaccines you can bring her there and they find a home for her. Call them, they're very friendly.
