I found an abandoned cat outside and it keeps following me. I have a newborn baby and don’t know if it’s allergic because he’s still so young so I do not want to keep the cat. Would I be able to bring it to the humane society?

Hi how did it go? Were you able to bring the cat to a shelter? There are tons of shelters that you can bring stray or abandoned animals to, like your local humane society. They appreciate a donation to help them care for it but you are NEVER required to pay money when you drop off an animal. They would rather have you bring in the animal, so it can be cared for, instead of leaving it suffering in the streets. The cat that is following you may have belonged to an elderly person who passed away, and no one rehomed the cat. You can leave some food and water out, then immediately call shelters or cat rescue organizations near you. They know how to SAFELY trap the cat (so the cat is NOT harmed at all) and will take care of it and find a home for it when the cat is ready.
