Usually there are two ways to resolve your situation, so it really depends on the return/refund policy that Stop &. Shop has in place. You could write your name as the payee, and endorse it, cashing like a check made out to you. Or, you can write " Not used for purpose intended" on the endorsement line in the presence of the Stop & Shop employee, show your receipt and receive a refund. But you need to work with a Stop & Shop employee.
I agree with Mr. Taylor, that's what I would do.
I would call stop &shop and ask the information desk or did you get it from the bank you would have to call the bank
