Well I bought the car used about a year ago but I don’t think I ever got the title in the mail. There are no liens. I am the owner of record according to my registration. The vehicle is now totaled and I need the title for the insurance company. Can I get a copy tomorrow if I go to dmv or will I have to wait for the title to come in the mail? Thanks.

As long as the car has no liens or lien records. If you had a loan you'll need a copy of the lien release. Anything after 25 years no title needed only a bill of sale (q1) if title is lost you need a lost title affidavit filled out and notarized. If no liens were on it you still need lost title affidavit notarized. It's $25.00 or there about. Good luck. If you need a q1 or a lost title affidavit go to ceglarz motors inc, 581 west main st, new Britain. I have all forms on hand and can notarize too. $10 for normalization.
