The name of the facility is the Jacksonville Equestrian Center. It is an event and show facility that is rented out by show promoters to hold their events. Please check out the website www.jaxequestriancenter.com for a complete list of events. This is a City owned facility and the name has always been the Jacksonville Equestrian Center. There are some hunter/jumper shows, but dates and mileage are limited as both are regulated and dictated by USEF.
About 5 years ago or more when I first learn about the name was international equestrian center, if it change it is ok, I will like to see more productive and more shows there. There is a lots of people from here that like equestrian and we go to other places too participate, we need information going outside to the state or the country and that way increase the group that like equestrian, it is used more for other shows than equestrian because here we like more country shows, let's increase the income of the place and love for equestrian.
Good Question you should go there and ask them it is ran by horse people for horse people last I checked could be wrong but I would ask them to there faces
