There is a loose small shaggy dog and has fleas, eating out of cans. How does one handle getting into a no kill shelter?

Call North shore animal league. They come out and rescue.

Sorry, normally do not take animals from private individuals. What Town is it in? Hempstead Shelter would take it and treat it if in Hempstead Town.

Last hope is amazing but to be honest I do not think they would want animal with fleas

Bring them to the Town of Hempstead Shelter first and later on they could be transferred
