Yes you do not need to make a reservation we had our anniversary there and we made a reservation 3 months out and we made it for right when they open at 5 in the evening and we still had about a 20-minute wait

Early evening you will definitely need a reservation. The only way you can go at that time as a walk in, is if you get lucky and catch a cancellation. Later at night they will more often have tables available (no guarantee of this though). We made a reservation 3weeks in advance and had to reschedule due to other circumstances and we were able to make 10pm reservations for the next day without a problem.
We had a 3 month out reservation
My reservation was 3 months out for a Monday. You may get lucky on a walk in but don't count on it.
Walk-ins are welcome but not recommended. I've been in there at 10:30 at night and Hostess said a 45 minute wait.
You absolutely need a reservation. You could luck out though depending on how many are in your party
