Why do they charge so much more than any other store for the same products, yet they can't pay somebody to answer the phone?

I find the prices are competitive now that they merged with Albertsons. They took the best of what Albertsons has and Albertsons took the best of what they have making a much better store. As to them answering the phone I really can't comment on that because I never called the store. The Fry's grocery store down the street at Olive and the 101 is a horrible store and I will not shop there every time I go there there is an issue which is a shame because I generally like Fry's stores and their prices I find are better. I find that the staff at Safeway are friendly and professional and the store is very clean and their products are always in stock generally. I'm sorry you had an issue at that store it just seems grocery stores aren't what they used to be 25-35 years ago at all.

Not sure on how they price things but yes I too agree about the high prices and it is convenient for me to get there instead of my favorite Yuma Rd. Fry's store... And for them not answering the phones it gets kind of busy there and I think that they set their calls to automated...

I used to work for Safeway once upon a time, "supposedly" they charge more cuz they have superior products, lol "supposedly" as to not answering the phone call the # on back of your club card and file a complaint they'll contact the store and let have a chat with them.
